The format of the workshop will involve introduction and scene setting covering Europe Digital Agenda 2020, meeting the new demands of health and care and the drivers and opportunities for change. It will involve contributions from care organisations, carer associations, training providers and research as well as leading experts addressing some of the key issues facing these sectors and the role of technology and digital skills in care highlighted through exemplar initiatives. Workshop participants will then be involved in a round table broad based discussion to identify the top priorities to drive forward how digital skills and technology are embedded in care provision – addressing both formal and informal carer needs.
