Results of the Wellness Readiness Survey 2014 carried out by the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA).

This survey found evidences of  a high level of readiness – and response – to ageing patients who are demanding more out of life than the medical model provides. More than 60% of respondents described their organizations as “very” or “completely” prepared to offer ongoing, strong lifestyle and wellness programs.  According with CEO of ICAA, “the key going forward is to ensure that these programs and environments will actually meet the expectations of this experienced consumer group.”.

The consortium of the European Project  GiraffPlus shows how technological innovation helps people to carry on their lives independently, through a network of sensors in cooperation with a robot “Mr Robin”.

INNOVAGE Project highlighted during the presentation of a Vodafone Study in Valladolid last May 6th

The session was organized by the Spanish Vodafone Foundation in order to increase citizen’s awareness about the potential and benefits that ICT’s and the digital network can offer to people with visual, hearing and mobility disabilities, by encouraging social opportunities and improving well-being.

The Interreg IVC projects INNOVAge and CASA present their results in Brussels on 7th October 2014

INNOVAge and CASA look at the complex issues that arise from demographic ageing and the many challenges that the future poses on European senior care. The projects aim at finding sustainable, innovative and practical solutions that enable longer independent living, an economically feasible care for seniors and totally new ways of thinking about the structuring of senior care by using innovative methodologies. The projects also give opportunities for innovative companies to develop new tools and services.

Innovation and Technologies for Integrated Mental Healthcare Workshop in Zamora - 29th of April 2014

In the framework of e-RESATER project (http://www.vitlab.resater.eu) financed with ERDF funds under Interreg IVB SUDOE Programme the e-Resater Consortium is organizing the Workshop “Innovation and Technologies for Integrated Mental Healthcare”, that will be held in Zamora (Spain) on 29th April 2014. The workshop will promote a space for Knowledge Exchange, acquired with local and transnational experiences and good practices in Europe (find attached the provisional program).

The Regional Management of Social Services from JCYL and INTRAS Foundation participated on Mentoring event under INNOVAGE project

The Regional Management of Social Services from JCYL and INTRAS Foundation participated on 10th and 11th April 2014 in a mentoring workshop hold in Valladolid leaded by Medic@lps (France) and BTH (Sweden). The main aim of this workshop, with the active participation of several members from the brand new SIVI Cluster, was to offer practical expertise and knowledge for the succesuful development of a cluster: theoretical knowledge, good examples from success and experiences European clusters, practical sessions, and discussion groups, examples.
